Indonesia Reiterates Support for UN Efforts for Political Solution to Western

Jakarta – On the sidelines of the 2nd Session of the Morocco-Indonesia Joint Committee, held on Thursday and Friday in Jakarta, Indonesia reiterated its strong support for the efforts by the UN Secretary-General and his Special Envoy to reach a durable political solution to the issue of the Western Sahara.During this meeting chaired jointly by Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Mounia Boucetta and Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdurrahman Mohammad Fachir, the emphasis was laid on the development of bilateral political, economic and cultural relations, as well as technical cooperation.The two sides also shared viewpoints on a number of issues of common interest, both regionally and internationally, and expressed their firm commitment to moving ahead in fostering bilateral relations.
