first_imgMount St. Helens looms large above the Lewisville Highway north of Battle Ground on a sunny Friday afternoon.It’s been a quiet summer geologically at the Cascade Range’s most active volcano. This week, there was no unusual seismic activity at Mount St. Helens, which most recently erupted in 2008.On March 8, 2005, it sent a cloud almost 7 miles into the air, causing dustings of ash to fall in Ellensburg, Yakima, and Toppenish.
